Testimonials from Linda's clients and colleagues

Emeritus Professor Robin Creyke AO: “A consummate professional, Linda has been my editor of choice since our collaboration began in 2017, when she became the editor of two university texts for core subjects of an Australian law degree. … Linda edits judiciously for sense as well as accuracy, and it is a tribute to her understanding of the law’s technical areas that her changes [are very rarely] challenged. … Linda’s professionalism, people-management skills, attention to detail and dedication are evident in these publications. I believe she epitomises the best editorial qualities and is fully deserving of the recognition of this award.”

Liz Hardy AE, NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW): “I love working with Linda on projects and she is definitely one of the best editors I’ve worked with. Her knowledge and attention to detail are exceptional and I always know there will be very little left for me to do on a project Linda has worked on. It’s not just her knowledge of grammar and style rules, but the fact that she correctly applies the template styles and is on top of the accessibility requirements. She’s great with things like suggesting improvements to tables and simplifying language too.”

Veronica Green AE, NSW DCCEEW: “Linda has an outstanding reputation as an editor. In 2019, I worked with her in a team of editors [on a World Health Organization publication]. The standard of Linda’s editing was exceptional. … I now work as an editor in [a government department]. My division sends editing work to Linda, and the quality of her work is consistently excellent. We can entrust Linda with complex publications, confident she will always adhere to the IPEd standards for editing practice. …
I can think of few editors who have given so much of their time to support the editing profession and serve IPEd. … As a mentor in IPEd’s Mentoring Program, I always recommend Linda’s workshops, as they are highly regarded and provide outstanding support to aspiring editors.”

Desolie Page AE, former chair of the IPEd Accreditation Board (AB): “Linda has been key to the AB’s efforts to provide a viable and strong accreditation system. Her efforts have been underpinned by her fundamental understanding that IPEd, like every professional organisation, must define and maintain its standards and provide ongoing, relevant professional development to its members. … I applaud Linda’s professional and ethical approach in all she does to advance IPEd and the editing profession.”
